My backend services are built in Python, Ruby, or TypeScript using frameworks like Django, Rails, or Node. My frontend services are built in TypeScript, usually with React, and Bootstrap styling. The software I write is strictly typed (when reasonable), composed of well tested and encapsulated services, and when unexpected behavior occurs the program fails gracefully, not silently. My services are deployed on AWS EC2 or EKS, logs go to Datadog, errors go to Sentry, alerts go to Slack.
