Specialties: Designing GIS solutions, Project Management, Team Development, Programming (C#, JavaScript, Python), Spatial Databases, DevOps, esri and OpenSource GIS toolsets expertise, Linux and Windows Sys Admin. This seems a lot because I've been around for over 20 years now. I'm looking to fill my remaining free week hours. I enjoy data analysis and cartography in ArcMap and love PostGIS spatial queries, building a python gdal script and a esri javascript web app. I know my coordinate systems and data transformations. I am very efficient in ArcMap and qgis. I have done more ETL than can remember. Used FME in the past, cool tool but would advise someone else since you need to be on top of it to be any good with it. In open source my usual tools are QGIS, GDAL and MapServer. I especially like building raster mosaics, compressing, merging, and tuning 1TB behemoths of data into 40GB of fast slick imagery. By DevOps I mean integrating some tools with GIS server components. I build monitoring scripts for arcgis server, or sql scripts to monitor postgresql. I use Jenkins to automate data tasks, or server maintenance. For server monitoring I'm using PRTG. For data exploration and dashboards I'm using Redash. I use LXD for containers and virtualization. C# and python are my usual programming tools. I also do a lot of shell scripting or bat scripts. I only apply to tasks that I feel comfortable with. No need to risk wasting my time or client's. I enjoy teaching and learning. Have taught several GIS courses over the years and enjoy that very much. Have been doing more advising akin to coaching. Finally I speak English fluently since 12 yo but, alas, with a strong accent. (I think you couldn't tell my accent by reading this.) So if you feel I can be of service, get in touch.
