$30/hr Starting at $25

The general elections in Greece have begun. The voting period will run from 7:00 in the morning until 9:00 at night. There are 27 political parties, 8 partnerships, and 1 independent candidate for voters to choose from when they cast their ballots. Alexis Tsipras of SYRIZA and Nikos Andrulakis of PASOK will compete with Greek Prime Minister Kirikaos Mitsotakis.

BE ANNOUNCED AT A TIME LIKE 20.30

According to the Greek election system, voters select not only parties and coalitions but also the parties' parliamentary candidates. Exit polls will be released with the closing of the polls.

The first unofficial results are anticipated to be released by the Greek Ministry of Interior by 20.30.

Nearly 10 million people will cast ballots.

In the nation, there are about 9 million, 800 thousand registered voters. The decision to decrease the voting age from 18 to 17 was made in 2016, allowing 17-year-olds to cast their first general election ballot. While there are 112 thousand 97 voters who are 17 years old and can vote for the first time, there are more than 438 thousand voters between the ages of 17 and 21. Voters will need to cast ballots again if a government cannot be formed using the results of today's election. The party with the most votes, however, will receive an additional 20 seats in parliament at the second election.
