As a highly disciplined and motivated young professional, I had the opportunity to spend almost seven years of my life working in different African countries, including Kenya, Mauritius, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Angola and so forth, for different multinational and local leading companies in the human resources, compliance and legal function. Through such an enriching professional adventure, I have been able to sharpen my competencies, skills and acumen. Currently, I am working in the capacity of the Human Resources & Compliance Manager for Hashi Energy Holdings Limited, the contractor for the United Nations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. My main responsibilities are to develop and administer programs, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company, to manage the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of my department, to develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies, to manage the performance management cycle, to manage the internal and external training and development programs, to draft legal opinions, memorandum and provide advice on different legal issues, and so forth. In this role, I supervise a team of six employees reported directly to me and oversee the human resource operations for our eight fuel terminals located around the Democratic Republic of Congo.
