Hi, I’m Ishan Jha. I’m passionate about what I do, and I love to help people. I have had experience in designing marketing campaigns online and offline both, covering market research and customer analysis as well. I have also run operations in multiple companies. After completing BTech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from NIT Jalandhar, India (2006-2010), I worked in Computer Science Corporation Private India Limited as a Senior Executive Marketing Analyst till 2013. Between 2013 and 2016, I have been involved in working with healthcare based startups. I came back to Nepal in May 2017, working remotely as a startup consultant for Indian and South American startups. As a senior executive marketing analyst in CSC India, I learned the analytical decision making skills, giving me confidence to start my first venture in 2013: Uberhealth, a concierge service for the senior citizens living away from their children. We were incubated in ISB Hyderabad (www.dlabs.in), a premier management institute and were introduced to the concept of design thinking, which changed my life forever: I learned to listen to my customers and then also to listen beyond what my customer is not able to say in words. In 2014-15, we were accelerated with Village Capital Accelerator in US, which was the most technically intensive entrepreneurial experience till date in terms of documentations related to projections, Profit & loss analysis, investment etc. In January 2015, I was selected to represent Nepal in a 6 weeks International Training program on Roles of Incubation Manager in Entrepreneurship Development Institute (www.ediindia.org) Ahmedabad in India. I got an opportunity to interact with 73 representatives from 34 different countries. In October 2015, the startup pivoted to CareBuddy and we got accelerated with Start Up Chile Accelerator, receiving a grant of $28,000 USD. During the 6 months of program, I was involved in mentoring start up teams, sharing experiences with University students and conducting workshops. The biggest learning for me was the approach to handle International customers. Presently, CareBuddy is a mobile application that provides summarized RSS feed health content in the format of reminders for working women based on their behavioral pattern. I am taking this forward as a Cofounder.
