I have 8+ years experienc of administrating, quering, programming MSSQL database and around 6 years of quering and programming Oracle database (administrating no!). I also have experience in sqlj of Oracle. I am using PGsql and MySQL only in my C#, java or VBA applications as datasource, like querying them or calling stored procedures/functions and inserting data from user entry forms. My best work in this category: Cost controllers certificated costs in SAP and it has to be transferred and transformed for our applications to include them in the daily reports. To achive this goal I have developed an interface purely in plsql, oracle-java and tsql. SAP sent us the daily costs in an xml file. The central database (oracle) read this file, extracted the costs and then depending on certain pre-defined conditions it distributed the costs to the proper local database that could be oracle or MSSQL. When the process is successfull the interface sends back to SAP a confirmation xml, or if there are errors in the set of the received data an .xml is returned with the description of the error. The interface also checks it the daily report is already created or accidentally created twice or more, or if the target database can't receive the data for any reason. In all cases a respond is emitted to SAP to let them know what is happening in the database and able to perform the proper action.
