Once a document is translated and its text formatted according to the chosen page layout comes the essential part of the multilingual DTP. I work together with native speaking linguists to make each document appear as if it was created in the target region – photographs, punctuation, characters, etc. typical for the region are examined and edited as needed to meet the regional, cultural and linguistic requirements. Examples of such regional linguistic differences can be the use of spaces before/after punctuation marks, use of commas instead of dots or vice versa, the use of diverse types of brackets and quotation marks, different abbreviations according to the language used, etc.
