Those who lost their lives in Nagasaki, the target of the second atomic bombing of the United States (USA) against Japan, were commemorated with a ceremony held in Nagasaki Peace Park on the 77th anniversary of the disaster. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Nagasaki Mayor Tomihisa Taue, war victims known as "hibakusha" who survived the atomic bomb attack, their relatives and foreign country representatives attended the ceremony. This year, as last year, around 1,700 people gathered at the event, where limited participants were accepted due to the Covid-19 epidemic, and remained silent at 11.02, the moment the bomb exploded, and held a minute's silence for those who lost their lives in the attack.
