Hi – My name is Bart Castle and I’ve been creating art and music for as long as I can remember. In high school DaVinci wowed me with his ability to meld science, math, and art. I loved Albrecht Durer’s wood cuts and etchings. I’m also a big fan of Gary Larsen and his Far Side comics; Ralph Steadman, Shel Silverstein, Dr Seuss – all brilliant.I currently live and work out of Portland, OR where I find the weather to be fitting to creative work. The rain and the atmosphere here is good for the introspective types. I also find that the plentiful greenery does a mind good.In addition to creating artwork I also am a musician and play with several local acts here in Oregon. In an effort to support local musicians I also run an Open Mic once a Month at the local pub. Running the Open Mic for the past 3 years has brought me great satisfaction.
