Ten former Pakistani ministers had their diplomatic passports canceled.
Nine former ministers from the Pakistani Justice Movement Party (PTI) and the leader of the Awami Muslim League (AML), ex-minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, had their diplomatic passports revoked, the General Directorate of Immigration and Passports announced.
Ten former ministers, including former foreign minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, had their diplomatic passports revoked in this situation.
These politicians served in the Imran Khan government's cabinet from July 2018 to April 2022, according to AA's report.
Members of the Council of Ministers must turn in their passports within 30 days of the end of their terms of service, according to Pakistani legislation.
It is unknown whether the ministers' passports were canceled 13 months after they left office or whether they turned in their passports when the Han government was overthrown in April 2022.
However, it is believed that the government's action came after Imran Khan and the government had negotiated.
Imran Khan was among dozens of PTI politicians who were prohibited from leaving the nation on May 25.
Khan's arrest and demonstrations
As a result of the protests that began after the former Pakistani prime minister Khan was taken into custody on May 9 in connection with a corruption investigation, at least 10 people were killed.
During the protests, police vehicles were set on fire, and numerous private and public assets were damaged. During the protests, military establishments in several cities were also targeted, including the "General Staff in Rawalpindi.
