President Zelensky from peace

$5/hr Starting at $25

This week, Ukraine's President Zelensky shared a detailed 10-point plan for peace in Ukraine, with demands such as nuclear and food safety, as well as the return of all Ukrainian territory.

Putin has categorically dismissed these calls for peace, however, as a Kremlin spokesman said Ukraine must accept Russia's ownership over the regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: "There can be no peace plan for Ukraine that does not take into account today's realities regarding Russian territory, with the entry of four regions into Russia.

"Plans that do not take these realities into account cannot be peaceful."

New speculation over Putin's health after he cancels second trip in a week

Russian President Vladimir Putin cancelled a visit to Pskov, a city close to Russia's borders with Latvia and Estonia.

Last week, he also cancelled a visit to the tank plant.

The reason for pulling out of visiting Pskov was "unfavourable flying conditions" for the 180-mile route from St Petersburg, however, both airports remained open.

These cancellations are fueling speculation about his health after some noticed him twitching, unsteady on his feet and sometimes out of breath.

    • Over 700 objects of critical infrastructure destroyed since invasion began

Since Putin launched his brutal invasion in February, over 700 pieces of crucial infrastructure have been destroyed.

“We are talking about gas pipelines, substations, bridges and the like,” Ukrainian Deputy Interior Minister Yevgeny Yenin said in a television address.

Russia has consistently attacked civilian infrastructure throughout the winter, in a bid to cut Ukraine off from electricity and water.

Yesterday alone, Kherson was hit 33 times by Russian shelling, destroying a maternity ward.

Russia calls on the west to have nuclear 'restraint' as tensions rise

A top Russian official has called on the west to "exercise maximum restraint" when it comes to the use of nuclear weapons.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made the demand, despite Putin making a series of nuclear threats since Russia's invasion began.

He said: "We continue to call on the West to exercise maximum restraint in this extremely sensitive area. In order to minimize nuclear risks, it is important in practice to remain committed to the postulate of the inadmissibility of nuclear war, confirmed by the countries of the nuclear ‘five’ in a joint statement dated January 3, 2022.

“In accordance with the logic set out in the document any military confrontation between the nuclear powers must be prevented, as it is fraught with catastrophe.
