I am currently providing C++/Qt Framework software development services for cross-platform solutions.  I have over 14 years hands-on software development experience using the Qt Framework and over 20 years solid C++ software development experience.  My Qt experience also includes extensive Qt Quick (QML) application development.  I am experienced with the Qt Framework tools including qmake, Qt Creator, Designer and Linguist tools for the software coding, debugging, integration and test phases including dealing with Internationalization and Localization support. 

During the course of my C++/Qt software development consulting business I have been involved in many different industry domains and technology areas including: medical (FDA), Geographic Information System (GIS), secure communications, cryptology, rail maintenance industry, high-performance computing, radar display console and interfaces, 3-D visualization of point cloud data and autonomous vehicle technologies.

I have an interest in 3-D graphics and visualization using OpenGL and scene-graph-based frameworks.  I have used modern OpenGL (version 3.3+ and recently version 4.5) within Qt applications for visualization of point cloud data and real-time mission analysis at a remote operator console.  I also have an interest in distributed and high-performance computing.  I am experienced in multi-threaded programming.  I have been involved in the development of the analysis GUI for application performance profiling and tracing during which I had exposure to MPI, CUDA and SIMD applications and developed test applications using these APIs or concepts.  Currently I have expertise in CUDA and OpenGL interoperability which includes recent projects in spectrum analysis.  I have experience with low-level socket network programming as well as publish-subscribe middleware.

In addition to my on-the-job experience using OpenCV, VTK, etc for computer vision applications, I have recently taken advanced classes focusing on Computer Vision and Deep Learning concepts for various autonomous vehicle topics through the Udacity Self-Driving Car Nanodegree and Sensor Fusion programs.   This includes intense hands-on projects using C++, Python, TensorFlow, Keras and OpenCV to detect lane lines from vehicles front-facing camera; using Convolutional Neural Networks for traffic sign classification and steering control; path planning, Kalman Filters and other complex technical areas of autonomous navigation.  These classes enhanced my programming skills and provided knowledge and experience with many open-source libraries used today.
