Tunisian President Qais Saeed invited the citizens to

On July 25, Tunisian President Kais Saied called on citizens to vote "yes" in the referendum scheduled for the new draft constitution.
This came in a statement issued by the Tunisian presidency, in which Said confirmed that "the new draft constitution expresses the spirit of the revolution, and does not prejudice at all to rights and freedoms."
He believed that "those who have been marginalized will seek to put in place legal texts that will remove them from the cycle of marginalization and exclusion," adding: "Say yes in the referendum on the draft constitution so that the state does not fall into old age."
He explained that the goal of establishing a national council for regions and regions is to "participate in decision-making."
Said added, "The state's first task is to achieve integration," noting that "this will only be achieved by involving everyone on an equal footing in the development of legislation."
He stressed that "there is no fear for freedoms and rights if the legal texts place them under popular control, whether within the first or second council."
Saeed pointed to the role of “constitutional oversight of laws by a constitutional court that ensures the supremacy of the constitution, away from all attempts at recruitment based on loyalty,” stressing that “history will never go back,” noting that “the draft constitution is from the spirit of the revolution and from The spirit of the path of correction.

Tunisia is experiencing a severe political crisis when Said began imposing exceptional measures, including dismissing the government on 25 July 2021 and appointing others, dissolving Parliament and the Judicial Council, and issuing legislation by judicial decrees.
He also decided to hold a popular referendum on a new constitution for the country next December.
Tunisian forces consider these measures a “coup against the constitution,” while other forces see them as a “correction of the course of the revolution.”
