US-Based Python Automation & AI-Powered Web Scraping — Clean Data, Fast Turnaround
US-based Python developer in San Diego — I turn websites and messy exports into clean, structured data your team can actually use. Pacific Time, same-day replies during business hours, no language barrier on calls.
▸ WHAT I BUILD
I work the whole path a dataset travels, not just one step of it.
Getting the data: Python scrapers with BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Playwright or Selenium, including sites that resist scraping. REST APIs, paginated exports, PDFs, whatever the source happens to be.
Making it usable: Pandas for cleaning, deduplication and reshaping. Delivery as Excel, CSV, JSON, or straight into a SQL database. Where a task needs judgment instead of rules — sorting inconsistent records, pulling fields out of free text, classifying entries by meaning — I bring in Claude or GPT through their APIs rather than writing a hundred brittle if-statements.
Making it run without you: recurring jobs wrapped in Docker and scheduled with cron, deployed to a server so results arrive on their own.
Making it visible: when the data needs a face — a dashboard to review results, a form to trigger a job, a small tool to hand to your own clients — I build and deploy that too. Flask, REST APIs, and a production AI web app you can open from my portfolio right now.
Typical projects: price monitoring, lead generation, market research, catalog and content aggregation, ETL pipelines, API integrations, internal tools.
▸ WHY MY BACKGROUND MATTERS
Mine isn't the typical "CS degree → corporate dev job" path. I came to the US, founded and ran a small logistics company from the ground up — hiring, operations, client-facing sales, solving problems with no playbook — before turning that same instinct toward software. I studied Artificial Intelligence coursework at BSUIR (Belarus) before relocating.
What that means for you: I understand what a business actually needs, not just what's technically interesting. I scope the job around your outcome, not around my curiosity.
▸ HOW I WORK
Every project gets a working prototype before you sign off on the full job. You see real output on your real data first — the portfolio below has live examples, including a production AI web app you can open right now.
I also report results honestly. One of my portfolio pieces is my own research project where the answer turned out to be "this doesn't work" — I published it that way, because a conclusion you can trust is worth more than one you wanted to hear.

Work Terms
▸ AVAILABILITY — 40 hrs/week, Monday–Friday, Pacific Time (US). Typical response within a few hours during business hours: no overnight lag, no waiting on a timezone twelve hours away.
▸ COMMUNICATION — Guru messages for scope and updates; happy to jump on a call for complex requirements before starting. Fluent professional English (C1) on calls and in writing.
▸ PROCESS — For fixed-price jobs I confirm scope and deliverables upfront, then work in milestones: you review and approve each stage through Guru SafePay before the next begins. You always see a working prototype on your real data before committing to the full job. For hourly work I log time transparently and send brief progress updates.
▸ REVISIONS — One round included on fixed-price jobs to match the agreed scope. Changes outside the original scope are quoted separately, in writing, before I start them.
▸ PAYMENT — Milestone-based via Guru SafePay for fixed-price projects; hourly work billed weekly.
▸ TO GET STARTED — Send me three things: the target website(s) or data source, the output format you want (Excel, CSV, JSON, database), and whether this is a one-time pull or a recurring job. I'll come back with scope, price, and timeline.
