I am a full-time, professional, outdoor writer with over six years of experience writing professionally.
Because my father was an avid outdoorsman, he practically raised me in the outdoors and thus, I often credit him for ruining me when I was a kid. However, I am eternally grateful for his doing so! Consequently, I have been a profession fly fishing guide and instructor for over thirty years now as well as an avid hunter and wilderness survivalist. In addition, I have always wanted to be a professional outdoor writer and thus, I have been making a living as a full-time, professional, freelance writer for the last six years now in addition to my local fly fishing guide and instruction service. Plus, because I am primarily an educator, I like to use my writing to inform and educate my readers and thus, a couple of years ago, I built an online, outdoor, academy where I presently offer numerous Master, Mini, and free courses on subjects such as fly fishing, hunting whitetail deer, hunting feral hogs, and both urban and wilderness survival.
