I am fairly flexible, but I prefer working on an hourly basis by marking my timesheet by tenths of an hour (every 6 minutes), instead of quarterly due to how quickly things can change during the course of a project.
If projects are small and can be completed in under a week, I will bill by the project. For lengthier projects, I send an invoice once a week, the following Monday. Invoices are expected to be paid within 15-30 days from invoicing.
All required assets (brand style guides, typefaces and fonts, vector logos & graphics, photos, etc.) need to be supplied prior to commencing a project, including a non-disclosure agreement to sign, if needed.
Hours of operation:
I tend to work within the usual business hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, Eastern time. But I do allow time to communicate after hours for clients who operate outside of the Eastern time zone, but I require advance notice.
An initial down-payment of roughly 40%-50% in advance is required, based on the discussion and estimation of the project. If projects become more frequent, initial down-payments will not be required. Payments can be made by direct payment, or through other payment methods, such as PayPal. Please contact me directly to discuss.
Communicating by email, or sometimes by text are my preferred methods, but I also like to discuss the project verbally whenever possible, either by phone or Skype (or any other method preferred). The project goes smoother when I can get a better sense of a client's thoughts, ideas and needs. This allows the client to paint a clearer picture of the project, and I can ask relevant questions during the discussion.
