I have owned and operated Calculated Technology, LLC – an electro-mechanical design firm specializing in the creation, simulation and testing of advanced illumination tools – since 2004 (www.calculatedtech.com). Calculated Tech contracts services to Product Development divisions of several companies. Successful projects include:
• Design of quality assurance tests for a major wind turbine manufacturer
• IEC Compliance reviews for major machinery products to be exported to Europe
• Manufacturing documentation for wind turbines, medical sensors, wafer bonder systems & others
• Illumination module for aquatic chemical test equipment
• Improvement of photographic lighting reflector
• Development of Night Vision Goggle compatible illumination module
• Under Innovative Fund grant from Vermont EPSCoR, designed several systems to improve illumination energy efficiency through external reflector/lens design optimization
• UV Illumination Module (reflector design) for wafer bonding equipment
• Infrared microscope illumination module for silicon wafer aligner
• Ohmic heating system design for industrial processes
• Materials characterization studies for a firm specializing in high power capacitors
• Illumination optimization for multiple UV-disinfection products, during the flu epidemic of 2010
