About

I completed a six-year Certified Translation program in the University of Buenos Aires. I've worked in different fields of translation and subtitling since 2012, and in the realm of document translation, I've specialized mainly in the legal and corporate areas (contracts, personal documents, marketing leaflets, coaching manuals, employee handbooks, privacy policies, bylaws). In the area of audiovisual translation, I have been in charge of translating and segmenting subtitles for series, science documentaries and movies, mainly into Spanish, for instance, the PBS series "Nova Science Now", episodes of "Larry King Live", the BBC mini-series "Everything and Nothing: The Science of Empty Space", episodes of "To the dearest intruder", just to name a few. In my current position as part-time in-house translator, I'm used to working closely and cooperatively with other translators and I carry out assignments related not only to translation, but also proofreading, post-edition and localization tasks, using Trados Studio on a daily basis. In my work, I strive to convey meaning that is as natural as the original text given the specific context, making sensible and conscious decisions along the way while meeting tight deadlines.

Work Terms

I usually communicate via email and skype, if necessary. Translations for dubbing or subtitling are charged per minute of video. Any other translation is charged per word. The budget may change depending on the extent, complexity and specific requirements for each translation.
