Where Business Goals Meet Brilliant Code!
Meet Kamran - Tech Leader Who Gets Things Done
I'm Kamran, and I've been in the tech world for over 22 years, mostly as a Sr. Project Manager. I'm the kind of person who really believes in getting things done right. That means being straight with people, showing the way by working hard myself, and sticking to what I think is important – you know, strong values and all that.
What am I good at? Well, I've got a solid handle on:
Keeping projects on track: Whether it's using old-school PMI methods or the more flexible Agile way, I know how to plan, manage, and deliver.
ERP systems (especially Oracle PeopleSoft): I've spent a lot of time with these big systems, setting them up, upgrading them, and making them work for businesses.
Cloud stuff: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud – I get how this works and how they can help.
People skills: Getting everyone on the same page, from the tech team to the big bosses, and dealing with vendors? That's a big part of what I do.
Making change happen: new systems can be important, so I know how to help people adapt and get on board.
Here are a few things I'm proud of:
I led a major overhaul of the PeopleSoft system at Canadian Tire – a big project. I helped Potash Corp go paperless by setting up a new imaging system. I upgraded some key systems at WSIB, which helped them work better. I even helped WSIB plan out their tech strategy for the next five years.
Where I've worked:
Right now, I'm at Integriti Group, helping companies with their tech. I spent a bunch of years at WSIB, managing projects and leading teams. I've also worked at Canadian Tire, Potash Corp, and Oracle, getting my hands dirty with all sorts of tech projects.
Earlier in my career, I was at Export Development Canada, making their payment systems better. I'm all about getting things done, working well with people, and making sure tech helps businesses succeed.
A bit about my background:
I've got degrees in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, and Math/Stats.
I'm also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and have some other tech certifications.
Work Terms
Our standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday.
We typically prefer Time & Material (T&M) billing for flexibility and transparency. However, we are open to Fixed Cost arrangements depending on the project scope and clarity of requirements.
We prioritize video meetings for detailed discussions, followed by written communication for documentation and formal updates. For larger or ongoing projects, we also use project management tools (like Jira, Trello, or Asana) to ensure clear task tracking, status updates, and team collaboration.
