I’m John Redlin – a German automation engineer and entrepreneur with over 7 years of experience delivering complex control systems for the pharmaceutical, chemical, and manufacturing industries.
My passion lies in transforming outdated or unsafe industrial environments into efficient, transparent, and secure systems – using Siemens PCS 7, TIA Portal, and modern OT cybersecurity practices.
I’ve led multiple PCS 7 and batch automation projects in GMP-regulated environments, designed secure IIoT architectures for Azure-connected platforms, and built remote-first engineering teams across Europe and Asia. In 2024, I expanded into IT-Security (CompTIA Security+ certified), focusing on Zero Trust, industrial firewalls, and secure remote access for OT networks.
I value precision, open communication, and long-term client relationships. I’m not just an engineer – I’m a builder of systems that last, and a mentor for the teams that run them.
Beyond work, I enjoy reading philosophy, playing Paradox strategy games (Crusader Kings, Victoria, HOI), and spending time with my wife and two daughters. I'm currently preparing to relocate to Dubai to expand my freelance network internationally.

Work Terms
Hours of Operation:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (GMT+2/Germany)
Flexible scheduling available for international clients (UAE, USA, etc.)
Payment Terms:
Net 14–30 days preferred. For long-term engagements or work packages, milestone-based billing is also possible.
Preferred Communication Style:
Direct, structured, and responsive. I prefer communication via Email or Microsoft Teams. Weekly check-ins and progress reports are part of my standard workflow.
