Kara brings a variety of skills and a unique background to her work. With a background in journalism, she has worked professionally as a copy editor and multimedia designer for two Nebraska newspaper publications on both the editorial and marketing sides. Her contributions have led to multiple awards from the Nebraska Press Association, and her skills building and managing websites have helped open new streams of advertising revenue.

Additionally, Kara lived in South Korea for two years and worked with an English-Korean bilingual online magazine focusing on entertainment and culture in Ulsan, Busan and Daegu. During this time, she covered many bases as a copy editor, website designer and graphic designer, creating everything from social media banners to event posters, from T-shirts and other merchandise to a 24-page print magazine.
