"Cool Hand Kerry"
In my childhood, I toured the USA with my family in our Family Musical Concert Act, "The Silsons" (Yes, like the Partridge Family). Because we were primarily on the road, my parents chose to homeschool me and my four siblings.
My mother's side of the family were predominantly medical professionals. She attended a strict private Catholic convent school in New England as a child. It was there where she became known by her peers as the "Queen of Words," teachings, because she would often hide and play with word puzzles.
My father attended Berklee College of Music, graduating with a masters in music theory and orchestration with his instrument being jazz guitar.
In addition to standard studies, my siblings and I learned very much about medicine, music, travel, & culture from my parents. Most importantly though, they taught us how to learn. Each of us graduated from high school with a 4.0GPA, and we have all become successful in our various careers.
As an adult, I have run my own business as a freelance entertainer for 20 years. I handle all financial matters and taxation, all scheduling, and I also write my own contracts and handle legal matters myself. I have worked in 25 countries and have developed a reliable system for translating important documents, where needed, as well.
Work Terms
This is a second income source for me so it is of utmost importance that I take projects which stimulate me as a writer.
