Principal AI Data & Software Engineer
I'm a Senior Data Engineer and Full-Stack Developer with 10+ years of experience helping businesses get control of their data, build custom software, and modernize their tech stack. I've spent my career across both Fortune 500 companies and startups, so I understand the difference between enterprise-grade requirements and the scrappy, get-it-done pace that smaller teams need.
At my core, I'm the person you call when your data is a mess, you need a pipeline that runs itself, or you want a custom tool built without hiring a full team. I've built large-scale ETL systems processing billions of rows for brands like General Mills, Kimberly-Clark, and Beam Suntory. I've also built and shipped full-stack web applications from scratch — React and Angular frontends with TypeScript, Python/Flask and Node.js backends, PostgreSQL and DynamoDB databases, all deployed on AWS with Terraform and automated CI/CD.
A big part of my work is consulting. I've led 20+ data discovery and architecture sessions with enterprise clients, translating business requirements into technical plans. I know how to sit with stakeholders, understand what they actually need, scope the work, and deliver it — not just write code in a corner. Whether it's assessing your current data, designing a schema, or mapping out a migration plan, I bring the same structured approach to every engagement.
Here's what I typically help clients with:
- Automated data pipelines that replace manual spreadsheet work (Spark, Airflow, DBT, Python)
- Full-stack web applications — React or Angular frontends, Flask or Node.js backends, REST APIs with auth
- Cloud infrastructure setup on AWS, Azure, or GCP using Terraform
- AI integrations using OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini for document processing, smart search, and workflow automation
- Technical consulting — data assessments, architecture reviews, and roadmap planning
- Dashboards and reporting connected to real data sources
I hold a B.A. in Computer Science from Hunter College (CUNY) and I'm based in New York. Outside of client work I ship production SaaS products through my own company, ZerveMe LLC, running on serverless AWS architectures.
I care about clean handoffs. Everything I deliver comes documented, version-controlled, and set up so your team can maintain it without me. You'll never be locked in.
