• Asterisk Financial (’10-’13): Devise and execute a go-to-market strategy for a first-in-category insurance product targeted to small-medium sized business owners: Personal Guarantee InsuranceTM. This was a three-year engagement with start-up Asterisk Financial. The length of this engagement enabled me to dig deep and touch almost every aspect of their marketing-sales strategy. Awareness Building: PR, whitepaper development and trade publication advertising. Lead Generation: search engine marketing, display advertising, direct mail, trade conference participation, partner program development and webinar marketing. Lead Nurturing: email campaigns, sales collateral development, integration of lead management systems, RM programs and more.
• Marketing Research: Conduct primary and secondary marketing research to better understand target audience needs for new product launch or project.
I conduct stakeholder interviews during the discovery phase of project work, field B2B/ B2C online surveys to better understand the impact of new product positioning and analyze existing client research to extract actionable strategies.
• Professional writing: Authoring strategic plans, agency POVs, creative briefs, white papers, sales collateral, email content, web content and B2B/B2C ad copywriting.
• Project management of B2B and B2C initiatives across multiple awareness and acquisition channels including: PR, social media, CPC advertising, search advertising, webinar lead generation, convention participation, email marketing, direct mail, DRTV and print ads. Client engagements include: Chief Media, Asterisk Financial, T-Mobile, SHU and more.
Work Terms
Traditionally I work from home 8:30am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday; schedule may vary during summer months. Hours can be adjusted for client meetings, pitches, etc. Hourly rates can vary depending on the type of work requested.
