Work Terms
1. Milestone-Based Payments
For engineering projects, I prefer working with defined milestones to ensure transparency:
Milestone 1: Research & Conceptual Design (20%).
Milestone 2: Detailed 3D CAD Modeling & First Review (40%).
Milestone 3: Final File Delivery (STP, SLDPRT, STL) & Technical Drawings (40%).
Note: For prototyping, 100% of material and shipping costs are required upfront.
2. Software & Licensing
All designs are produced using fully licensed professional software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor). Clients receive full ownership of the final native files upon project completion and final payment.
3. Revisions & Scope Creep
Included Revisions: Each project includes [2 or 3] rounds of minor refinements based on the initial brief.
Out of Scope: Significant changes to the core functional requirements after the CAD phase has begun will be treated as a change order and quoted separately.
4. Prototyping & Physical Testing
As I operate an in-house lab in Berlin (Bambu Lab A1 and other equipment):
Verification: I can provide photo/video proof of "fit-tests" for interlocking parts.
Shipping: Physical prototypes can be shipped worldwide via DHL/FedEx from Berlin. Shipping fees and customs duties are the responsibility of the client.
5. Confidentiality & IP
I am happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before discussing sensitive intellectual property. As a Senior Engineer, I maintain strict data security protocols for all client files.
6. Communication
I am based in Berlin (CET/CEST). I am available for video consultations via Zoom, Google Meet, or Guru/Upwork's built-in tools. I typically respond to messages within 2–4 hours during European business hours.
