Eager to jump on board a project that gets my heart and mind racing.
I'm an electrical and computer engineering graduate with a strong background in software development. I am proficient in C, C++ and Python and have completed the odd project in assembly.
Over the course of my academic and professional career I've been involved in the design and implementation of an assembler, an emulator, a small-scale real-time operating system, and an embedded system or two. I've written numerous tools, apps and UIs for an engineering firm and am currently working on the maintenance of an engineering app written in C++ using the MFC framework.
I also have experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and spend my free time studying web development. I'm also interested in machine learning and have taken online courses in that area.
I am always eager to find new, interesting projects to jump on board and I'm very open to diving into new areas and ideas.
In my free time you can usually find me at the bouldering gym near my place.
Work Terms
Pretty open to different arrangements. Preferably, I would work on a fixed fee per task or service rather than hourly. This gives me more freedom over scheduling and how much time I decide to invest in particular aspects of the project, eg. possibly spending a few extra hours on a tricky problem without feeling like I'm gouging my client.
