Mechanical engineer for 3D CAD, machine design & manufacturing-ready drawings
I am a Mechanical Engineer and Product Engineer with international experience in designing industrial machines, sheet-metal parts, welded frames, and custom components for manufacturing companies in Europe and Asia.
My daily responsibilities include:
- Creating 3D CAD models of parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and Creo.
- Designing sheet-metal components such as brackets, enclosures, frames, guards, and machine covers.
- Producing detailed 2D manufacturing drawings that include dimensions, tolerances, and weld symbols.
- Implementing design improvements and cost reduction strategies for existing machines.
- Converting sketches, photos, or legacy drawings into clean, production-ready CAD files.
I have a comprehensive understanding of both design and fabrication processes. I design with real fabrication methods in mind—such as laser cutting, bending, machining, and welding—ensuring that your supplier can go directly from my drawings to production with minimal questions.
Work Terms
Availability: Remote work is primarily available on weekday evenings (CET) and weekends by agreement.
Communication: I prefer to use Guru messages for communication. For complex projects, we can schedule video calls via Teams or Zoom as needed. I strive to respond within 24 hours.
Pricing:
- Hourly rates for open-ended tasks.
- Fixed-price milestones for clearly defined deliverables (this is recommended).
Payment: All payments will be processed through Guru SafePay, with milestones released after you review and approve the work.
Revisions: Reasonable revisions are included within the agreed scope until the design aligns with the approved requirements.
