Native Turkish Translator working from the United States
I am a native Turkish speaker from Turkey who has been living and working professionally in the U.S. for the last twelve years. I have experience working many years as a medical translator for Istanbul University Medical Faculty students, assistants and professors in Istanbul, Turkey and as an interpreter for American Turkish Chamber of Commerce in New Jersey, US.
Most recently, I worked as a Turkish translator at a social media website MeetMe Inc., New Hope, PA from February 2013 to June 2013. I am knowledgeable in many office programs, technical language of iOS and Android apps and currently using programs like JIRA, Heathrow, Smartling and Open graph for Facebook.
In addition, I have been working as an English as a Second Language teacher for the last eight years and I have a New Jersey Teaching Certificate. I have had students from kindergarten to adult, from over 45 different countries. I have also been tutoring students from many different age groups in English and Turkish (online, one on one, in small groups or in a classroom setting). I have a BA degree in teaching English from Turkey and currently studying to receive my Master's Degree in Education from Rutgers University, New Jersey. I took extra classes of Turkish syntax, morphology and phonics, Turkish and Turkish History classes in college.
