Reliable Python backend & automation solutions — built once, running for years
I've spent the last 10+ years building the unglamorous, mission-critical systems that keep businesses running — the APIs nobody sees, the automation scripts that quietly save teams hundreds of hours, the data pipelines that just work, day after day.
My journey started in IoT, where I built backend systems and real-time dashboards for industrial and agricultural applications — including an international toll management system on the Boma–Matadi Bridge in the DRC, and a mushroom cultivation automation project that won at the BASIS National ICT Awards. That early experience taught me to think in systems: sensors, data, and code all had to work together reliably, with no room for "it works on my machine."
For the past several years, I've been a Senior Software Engineer at BRAC IT Services, building automation frameworks and backend APIs for BRAC Bank — one of Bangladesh's largest financial institutions. My proudest achievement there is a CIB data extraction engine that processes over 1,000 pages in under 40 seconds, work that used to take my team hours.
What drives me isn't just the code — it's the problem underneath it. I like taking something manual, fragile, or slow and turning it into something automated, reliable, and fast. That's true whether it's a banking workflow, a web scraper, or an API backend powering an AI application.
Outside of work, I hold a Master's in IT and a Bachelor's in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and I'm constantly learning — currently going deeper into FastAPI, AI integration, and agentic systems through hands-on courses and projects. I spend most of my day at a desk, so I try to stay deliberate about staying active and keeping a healthy routine alongside the screen time.
If you need someone who treats your project like production — not a prototype — I'd love to help.
Work Terms
Availability: I typically work Bangladesh Standard Time (GMT+6) but maintain flexible hours to overlap with US/UK/EU clients for calls and check-ins.
Communication: I respond to messages within 12–24 hours, usually much faster during active projects. I'm happy to use Guru messaging.
Process: I like to start with a short discovery conversation to understand your exact requirements before quoting scope or timeline. For larger projects, I break work into milestones so you always know progress and can review deliverables incrementally.
Payment: I work with Guru's milestone/escrow system for project-based work, and can also discuss hourly arrangements for ongoing or maintenance work.
Revisions: Minor revisions related to the original scope are included. Larger scope changes are quoted separately and agreed upon before starting.
Code quality: All delivered code is documented, tested where applicable, and handed over with clear setup instructions — no black boxes.
