Self taught software developer with an absolute passion for new technology, problem solving, design, and innovation.
I've spent my career working on a wide variety of projects in a wide variety of languages, from C# to Java/Groovy/Grails to NodeJS. I especially love creating rich and responsive user interfaces with AngularJS, intuitive RESTful APIs, and cross platform mobile apps with PhoneGap and Ionic.
• Worked directly with client UCare, to determine needs for a new app to gather information on health insurance plans. Architected solution with a new data structure, REST web services in Grails, and a rich web based user interface in AngularJS. Lead team of developers in implementing the solution, creating and assigning tasks, and leading code reviews.
• Lead integration of our in house decision support software with Allscripts EHR system, integrating patient information, prescriptions, and diagnoses. My integration lead to an official certification of our application by Allscripts, which was pivotal in reaching deals with large hospital systems.
• Pushed for and lead development of our company’s first mobile app with PhoneGap, a patient facing app for our decision support software. Created a REST API in Grails and a PhoneGap mobile app with AngularJS.
• Worked with our client Wells Fargo on an internal enterprise web application. Duties included: creating new user interfaces in BackboneJS, adding new features to the API, converting the code base from Java to Groovy, and working as build master for new deploys.
• Worked with a small team of developers to create our decision support software. Duties included server side development in Grails, client side development in jQuery, and participating in and leading code reviews.
