About

I'm a visual artist that can do everything from event photography to film production.

I was fortunate enough to graduate from the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts, where I specialized in cinematography. Throughout the program I had the opportunity to work as cinematographer on five industry-standard student films, while also crewing in a wide variety of other positions varying from sound mixer to assistant director on over thirty student films. My time crewing in capacities other than camera gave me a well-rounded understanding of how a set function, but has also solidified for me that camera team is where I truly belong. My time at the College of Motion Picture Arts not only provided me with the technical skills and knowledge I need to be functional in the industry, but also gave me the opportunity to realize my own visual style and taste.
Additionally, I have volunteered and free-lanced in the camera, electric, and production departments on a low-budget feature film, commercials, and short films. These productions have ranged from independent, five-person crews to professional sets with forty-person crews, and they have all taught me new skills and principles.
After film school, I accepted a position at the Florida Department of Health’s Office of Communications as photographer and videographer, which allowed me to be a key part of the creation of public service announcements seen by thousands of Florida residents. This position allowed me to flex my creative muscles while learning how to use my own personal tastes in cinematic language to best reach the masses. My favorite aspect of this position was incorporating filmmaking techniques and language to elevate simple public service announcement concepts to an enjoyable viewing experience for the audience.
