About

Virtual Assistant | Administrative Problem-Solver

For over 12 years, I worked on-site as an Administration Officer for a busy construction company, handling the diary, timesheets, employment contracts, and credit control that kept the business running day to day. I'm now bringing that same hands-on experience to remote work.

If you're picturing what that means for you:
- Invoices that get followed up on a set schedule, not when someone remembers to.
- A diary that reflects your actual day, not a guess.
- Timesheets, leave, and employment records that are accurate and ready before anyone asks.

And when something looks off- a pattern in late payments, a process costing more time than it should- I flag it and fix it, because that's what over a decade of doing this on-site has trained me to notice.

I'm new to working with clients remotely, so you won't find a long list of online reviews here yet; what you will find is more than a decade of real, hands-on experience doing exactly this work, day in and day out, for a real business that depended on it getting done right.

You'll hear from me clearly and on a schedule you can rely on- no chasing me for updates, no surprises. I treat your business admin the way I treated my last employer's: proactively, accurately, and without drama.

I'm fluent in English and Afrikaans, and comfortable working across South African, UK, and international time zones.

If you're looking for someone who already knows how to run a business's admin, not someone learning as they go, let's talk about what's currently costing you the most time.

Work Terms

A few practical details about how I work, so there are no surprises:

Hours & time zone:
I'm based in South Africa (SAST, UTC+2).
My core working hours are [Mon–Fri, e.g. 8 am – 4 pm SAST] .
Happy to shift or extend for calls or urgent deadlines to overlap with UK or other international time zones, by prior arrangement.

Communication:
I respond within one business day, usually much sooner. For ongoing work, I like a short weekly check-in plus a brief monthly summary of what's been done, so you always know where things stand without asking. Comfortable with Guru's on-platform messaging and scheduled video calls.

Languages:
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Getting started:
For new clients, I like a short kickoff conversation to understand your current admin setup (tools you use, what's working, what isn't) before diving in. This avoids wasted time on either side.

Payment:
I work within Guru's standard payment terms. For ongoing or retainer work, I invoice on a [weekly/bi-weekly/monthly] basis; for project work, payment is tied to agreed milestones.

Revisions & scope:
If a task turns out to be bigger than initially scoped, I'll flag it and confirm before continuing, no surprise costs.

Rush requests:
I can usually accommodate short-notice work; the earlier you flag something time-sensitive, the better I can prioritize it.
