My passion lies mostly in data science - which I define as the art of exploring data to extract information and getting insights that inform business decisions. Data science allows the data to define the relationships between the variables, instead of the conventional statistical modelling we are used to where we make assumptions about those relationships based on our own understanding of the data.
My experience spans across credit risk data analysis and model validation, data mining and exploration, business statistical analysis, stress testing, and quantitative modelling. I've had experience in financed emissions calculations and analyzing and interrogating the sensibility of inputs and outputs into the calculations.
I am just a polite lady who was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to formalise her learning and interests. I absolutely enjoy and vouch for formalised learning in any industry - if done right, one can obtain more than just a qualification. I am confident, well-spoken, resilient, inquisitive and purpose-driven. I'm mostly calm and observant.
Programming skills:
SAS | R-Studio | Matlab | Excel Analytics and VBA | Power BI
Apart from the work that pays my bills, I enjoy a grammatical error-free book, running and watching soccer. I am also an advocate for lending a helping hand, we all need each other in some way. Reach out and always seek opportunities to help. If you don't know where to donate specifically money, ask me.
