Work Terms

Hours of Operation:
Available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (PST / UTC-8). I typically respond to messages within a few hours during business hours. For urgent project needs, same-day responses are available upon prior arrangement.

Communication Style:
I prefer clear, async-first communication via Guru messages for project updates and milestone reviews. For complex discussions, I'm happy to schedule video calls via Zoom or Google Meet. I provide regular progress updates without needing to be prompted — you'll always know where things stand.

Project Kickoff:
Every engagement begins with a brief discovery call to align on requirements, deliverables, timeline, and success criteria. I provide a detailed project plan before work begins so there are no surprises.

Payment Terms:
I work with milestone-based payments for larger projects and hourly billing for ongoing or maintenance work. I invoice at the completion of each agreed milestone. For new clients, a 30–50% upfront deposit is standard on fixed-price projects.

Revisions & Scope:
Up to two rounds of revisions are included per milestone. Any scope changes or additions will be discussed transparently and agreed upon before proceeding, with updated timeline and cost estimates provided.

Confidentiality:
I'm fully comfortable signing NDAs and confidentiality agreements prior to project kickoff. Client data, codebases, and business information are treated with strict confidentiality at all times.

Long-Term Engagements:
I enjoy building ongoing relationships with clients. Retainer arrangements are available for teams needing consistent AI engineering, backend development, or platform maintenance support.
