I got into software development back in 2005, building an Electronic Clinical Records System as a Windows desktop application using C++ and MFC — completely on my own. That project sparked what would eventually become Grupo Tecnológico Santa Fe, and over the years I've grown into a role that combines two things I genuinely enjoy: leading agile teams as a Scrum Master, and building clean, intuitive interfaces with Vue.js.
What drives me is problem-solving in contexts where getting it right actually matters — I've worked on healthcare systems, HR tools, and academic platforms where data accuracy directly impacts people's lives and decisions. I care about understanding the real problem before writing a single line of code.
I'm easy to work with, communicate clearly, and enjoy both solo projects and collaborating within larger teams.
Work Terms
Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Central Time, GMT-6). Available for scheduled calls outside these hours with advance notice, especially to accommodate overlap with clients in different time zones.
Payment Terms:
For hourly projects, I bill weekly or bi-weekly based on tracked hours. For fixed-price projects, I typically request 30-50% upfront, with the remainder due upon milestone completion or final delivery. Payment terms can be discussed and adjusted based on project scope.
Communication Style:
I provide regular updates throughout the project — typically via written status reports, with video/voice calls for kickoff, key milestones, and any complex discussions. I'm responsive during business hours and value clear, proactive communication over long silences between check-ins.
