Standard Work Terms
1. Payment & Milestones (Fixed-Price)
To ensure mutual trust, all fixed-price projects are split into clear milestones. Work begins only when the milestone funds are fully secured in Guru SafePay (Escrow).
Milestone 1 (20%): Project setup, architecture, and database schema design.
Milestone 2 (30%): Core backend development and RESTful API integration.
Milestone 3 (30%): Frontend React.js development and full state integration.
Milestone 4 (20%): Final testing, AWS/cloud deployment, and handover.
For Hourly Contracts: Recording hours via Guru Tracker is required, billed weekly.
2. Scope & Revisions
Included: Every milestone includes up to two (2) rounds of revisions based on the original project brief. Requests must be made within 5 business days of delivery.
Scope Creep: Any features, changes, or additions outside the initial agreement will be quoted separately as an add-on contract.
3. Communication & Compliance
To comply with Guru’s terms and protect both parties, all official communication, file sharing, and contract updates must happen exclusively within the Guru Workroom.
I provide transparent progress reports every 48 hours.
4. IP & Code Ownership
Full ownership of the source code, database structures, and intellectual property transfers to the client immediately upon the final release of all funds from SafePay.
5. Post-Deployment Support
I provide a 14-day complimentary support window after deployment to fix any unforeseen bugs related to the agreed scope. Ongoing maintenance can be arranged under a separate retainer.
