About

Hi, I’m Yu Yasui from Japan. Currently working as a Japanese-Turkish translator for a Sumitomo Rubber Group company in Turkey since September 2019.

I have experienced in several Japanese transcription projects as a freelancer for LxT Inc. and RWS Moravia in 2020-2021.

I have been in Turkey since 2016 and have C1 level of Turkish Proficiency Exam.
I majored in Turkish studies at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Japan between 2010-2015. Also as a exchange student, I studied Turkish language and literature at Ankara University during 2012-2013.

After graduating from the university, I have worked as a business development specialist for a Japanese consulting firm specialized in healthcare managements for 1 year 4 months. While being involved in pre-surveys on Turkish hospitals as a part of Turkish public-private partnership projects, I have also performed various interpretation and translation work between Turkish and Japanese.

In 2016, I won a ‘Turkiye Burslari’ scholarship provided by Turkish government and started a master’s program of Turkish studies at Hacettepe University, Ankara. I successfully finished my master’s program in July 2019 and received my Master of Arts degree in Turkish Studies.
