I use AI development tools myself, so I understand both their speed and their limitations. Generated code still needs human review, testing, and verification. My approach is to understand the existing application first, isolate the problem, make controlled changes, and verify that the fix does not break existing behavior.
For larger or unfamiliar applications, I prefer to begin with a small diagnostic or repair milestone before expanding the engagement.
