Writing & Translation transcription (edited / intelligent / verbatim / phonetic)

Audio Transcription Service

$45/hr Starting at $25

I will listen to the content of a recorded audiovisual file and transcribe that file into a Word document. I can format it into whichever type of transcription you need: Verbatim, Intelligent, or Edited. I will use whatever "tags" you request, as needed.

Billed per audio hour.                All work is kept confidential.

  • Verbatim Transcription: Including both verbal and nonverbal components of what is in the audio and reproducing it in the document. Aside from the essence of the message, every factor recorded in the audio or video—from shifts in tone to the interruptions in speech and background noise—is included in the final written document.
  • Intelligent Transcription: This is just as accurate as a verbatim transcription, but it’s lightly edited and may have the tags and markers removed because there’s no need to contextualize the audio setting. Since it’s still pretty literal, this type of transcription is intended to streamline the content better and make it easier for readers of the transcribed document.
  • Edited Transcription: This uses a more streamlined writing style and may include some changes to the transcribed material, such as removing hesitations that don’t really add anything to the understanding of the content or correcting grammar errors. The main purpose of edited transcriptions is to present the transcribed content for general consumption as written text, such as publishing it as an article or website post so people who didn’t attend a live event can have access to the material in a written format.

  • Jayne_Campbell says,

Kelley did a beautiful job. I especially liked that she was willing to ask questions and wanted it to be as I needed it to be. Her transcription was excellent. I will definitely be using Kelley in the near future.
