  4. Create scalable elastic architecture to optimise cost and have ability to serve increased spurt in customers at peak time/season or at certain business events(flash sale). 


Cloud Deployment

  1. Deploy on cloud to remove server maintenance
  2. Improve performance as cloud instances would be latest generation and cheap.
  3. Reduce cost by leveraging pay-as-you-use services
  4. Get better availability as promised by cloud provider(e.g. 99.99%)
  5. Remove worries of data backup
  6. Setup Threshold and Alarms to know if services are down/over-utilized
  7. Cloud services typically used - EC2, s3, ALB, API Gateway, VPC, Security Group, Subnet, Lambda, CloudWatch, Alarms, SNS etc.
  8. AutoScaling + Containerisation + Code-pipelines for auto-deployment.
  9. Cloud services typically used - Basic + ECS + CodePipeline/CodeBuild/CodeDeploy/git integration
