Expert in data analysis, design/modeling using Visio ERD diagrams, producing analytical reports, converting data to/from text, Excel, MS Access, or SQL Server. Custom programming to mine data from unstructured data when needed. Data normalization and data consistency using provided rules. Data analysis includes type checking, establishing business rules through relational database validation rules, and producing reports where the data violates business rules. Data conversion includes converting from one database format to another, including type conversions, data cleansing (based on provided rules), and restructuring as required. Data design/modeling includes new database design or using an existing database and reverse engineering it; then using 5th normal form rules to produce a logical database design in the form of an ER diagram. Implementation of the design may require further denormalization (based on review and feedback).
