As an example, I setup detailed inventory management procedures providing tools to assist with replenishment taking into account historical ordering data, lead times, expiration variance between vendors, seasonality, and current stock levels. For another client, I developed a tailored system for recipe costing giving this catering company the ability to better price their menu items based upon real cost information instead of making educated guesses. The system had to take into account cost changes in the items they purchased plus calculate all of the weights and measures to match order information with recipe data.
