Google Maps/Charts, JASPER and more...

$25/hr Starting at $250

I completed a contract (via Elance) in 2011 specifically to build a public portfolio. These Google Maps and Charts were derived from data in the public domain. They were run off anything from a Google Drive spreadsheet to a local MySQL instance. I generated many more of these reports, from which the client chose their favourites. The Map APIs were interactive, and clicking on a geographical area of interest would drill down further into that area, effectively from national to street level. I have also been working with JASPER reports since 2010, often as part of a wider search for an enterprise reporting solution which is flexible, performant and inexpensive. Alternatives have included free proprietary solutions such as BIRT, and (as now often used to create legal documents) partially choice-driven and partially database-driven document generation. I have created many test environments (often a duplicate or in-line version of production) as virtual machines to design, deliver and demonstrate JASPER as a suitable report solution. As the JASPER reporting engine is driven from a standard flat file, the utility to design JASPER reports can be used on almost anything (Windows, OS-X, Linux) and is a capable and versatile tool. I also have many years formal experience in designing and developing Oracle Reports. This using both Report Builder (from Windows 3 8-bit and up) and as generated (usually using families of views) from Oracle Designer (2000 and up).
