Industrial Controller PCB Design

$25/hr Starting at $1K

I help clients develop rugged controller, relay, sensing, communication, and interface electronics for industrial automation, monitoring, equipment, and field applications.

This service is ideal for Automation companies, equipment manufacturers, industrial IoT teams. It is structured for commercially serious projects where reliability, performance, documentation, communication, and production readiness matter more than simply completing a drawing.

 SERVICE SCOPE

✅ Industrial controller architecture, MCU selection, I/O definition, power domains, isolation, protection, and communication strategy
✅ Relay, MOSFET, solenoid, valve, motor-interface, digital input, analog input, sensor, and actuator circuits
✅ RS-485, Modbus-related hardware, CAN, Ethernet, UART, I2C, SPI, isolated interfaces, and service/debug connections
 ✅ Wide-input power, reverse-polarity, surge/transient, ESD, EFT/burst-aware protection, filtering, grounding, and cable-interface planning
✅ High-current routing, thermal design, creepage/clearance, connectors, enclosure constraints, mounting, DFM, DFA, and DFT
✅ Prototype bring-up, field-scenario testing, and manufacturing handover

 WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

✅ Architecture, schematic, PCB, BOM, and complete fabrication/assembly outputs
✅ I/O and connector documentation, test plan, and configuration notes
✅ Prototype validation and production-support documentation when included

 ENGINEERING APPROACH

I normally begin by reviewing the product objective, development stage, available files, interfaces, expected quantities, enclosure constraints, operating environment, compliance targets, and the client’s main technical concern. For complex work, architecture review and finalization are completed before detailed circuit or PCB design begins.

Industrial hardware must tolerate noisy power, long cables, inductive loads, wiring mistakes, ground differences, temperature variation, field transients, and service conditions. These realities are considered during design.

 RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Relevant experience includes industrial automation, relay control, monitoring, sensor interfaces, power management, communication gateways, and EMI/EMC-conscious product design.

Projects may be completed hourly or through clearly defined milestones. Components, fabrication, assembly, shipping, laboratory certification, paid software/services, and other third-party costs are separate unless specifically included.

To receive an accurate scope, please share the product requirements, existing schematic or PCB files, block diagram, datasheets, mechanical information, expected deliverables, target schedule, and any known technical issues.

Keywords: industrial PCB design, automation controller PCB, relay board design, RS485 CAN controller, industrial electronics.
