Integrate Sage 50 with the Shopify Store

$50/hr Starting at $250

Summary

Tired of manual exports, mismatched stock, or accounting headaches?
I build a stable Sage 50 ↔ Shopify integration that keeps products, inventory, prices, customers, and orders perfectly in sync.
I use a secure bridge (Windows service/agent or cloud middleware) with robust mapping, validation, and error-handling so finance gets clean books and operations run smoothly.

Deliverables

Deliverable 1: Integration Architecture & Setup
I will design and set up the most suitable connection for your Sage 50 edition (SDK/ODBC/CSV bridge or secure middleware), configure API access for Shopify, and prepare environments (sandbox/UAT) for safe testing.

Deliverable 2: Data Mapping & Field Normalization
I will map SKUs, variants, price lists, tax codes, GL accounts, customers, and shipping/tender types. Includes unit, currency, and naming normalization to avoid duplicates and posting errors.

Deliverable 3: Product & Inventory Sync
I will sync item master data (title, SKU, barcode, price) and bi-directional stock levels with optional multi-warehouse support and low-stock thresholds.

Deliverable 4: Order → Sage 50 Posting
I will post Shopify orders into Sage 50 with line items, discounts, taxes, shipping, fees, and customer records, matching the proper GL accounts and tax jurisdictions. Includes handling refunds/voids and partial shipments.

Deliverable 5: Customer & Pricing Rules
I will create/attach customer records (new vs. existing matching), optional B2B price lists, and credit/tax-exempt handling in line with your accounting policies.

Deliverable 6: Automation, Scheduling & Webhooks
I will configure near–real-time updates using Shopify webhooks / scheduled jobs, with safe retry logic, throttling for rate limits, and resumable queues.

Deliverable 7: Monitoring, Logs & Error Recovery
I will deliver an admin log (success/fail with reasons), email/slack alerts, and one-click reprocess so your team can resolve exceptions without touching code.

Deliverable 8: Testing, Sign-off & Handoff
I will run a UAT checklist (sample orders, returns, taxes, multi-currency if applicable), document the flow, and provide a short training video for your staff.

Optional Add-ons
- Multi-currency & multi-warehouse configuration
- Gift cards, deposits, and prepaid liability handling
- Bundle/kits support and BOM roll-ups
- Historical backfill (past orders/customers)
- Performance hardening (queue workers, caching)
- Ongoing support & monthly reconciliation checks

FAQ

Which Sage 50 editions do you support?
I support common regional Sage 50 editions (US/CA/UK/..). We’ll confirm SDK/ODBC availability and pick the right bridge method for your setup.

How are taxes and discounts handled?

I map Shopify tax lines/discounts to Sage 50 tax codes and GL accounts so the ledger stays accurate.

Will this interrupt my live store?

No. We implement in a sandbox/UAT first, then schedule a zero-downtime cutover.

Can you migrate historical orders?

Yes optional backfill is available with batching to keep Sage 50 responsive.
