Medical Electronics Design

$25/hr Starting at $1K

I help clients develop low-noise, precision, sensing, acquisition, and control electronics for medical-related, laboratory, monitoring, and measurement products.

This service is ideal for Medical-device startups, laboratory equipment teams, measurement-product companies. It is structured for commercially serious projects where reliability, performance, documentation, communication, and production readiness matter more than simply completing a drawing.

SERVICE SCOPE

✅ System architecture, sensor/interface selection, analog front end, excitation, amplification, filtering, ADC, reference, and grounding strategy
✅ Low-noise power, isolation considerations, digital-interface separation, data acquisition, calibration access, and testability
✅ Precision analog, mixed-signal, sensor, electrode-related interface support, temperature, pressure, optical, current, voltage, and other measurement circuits as applicable
✅ PCB placement and routing for noise control, leakage awareness, shielding, guarding considerations, thermal drift, and repeatability
✅ Component tolerance, drift, lifecycle, traceability support, risk review, verification planning, and manufacturing readiness
✅ Prototype bring-up, measurement correlation, debugging, and documentation

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

✅ Architecture, schematic, PCB, BOM, fabrication/assembly outputs, and design notes
✅ Measurement and validation plan with identified critical parameters
✅ Prototype findings and corrective-action recommendations when included

ENGINEERING APPROACH

I normally begin by reviewing the product objective, development stage, available files, interfaces, expected quantities, enclosure constraints, operating environment, compliance targets, and the client’s main technical concern. For complex work, architecture review and finalization are completed before detailed circuit or PCB design begins.

I provide electronics engineering and design support; formal safety, clinical, regulatory, and certification decisions must be managed with the appropriate qualified compliance and product specialists.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Relevant capability includes analog, digital, mixed-signal, sensing, low-noise layout, power integrity, design review, prototype validation, and manufacturing preparation.

Projects may be completed hourly or through clearly defined milestones. Components, fabrication, assembly, shipping, laboratory certification, paid software/services, and other third-party costs are separate unless specifically included.

To receive an accurate scope, please share the product requirements, existing schematic or PCB files, block diagram, datasheets, mechanical information, expected deliverables, target schedule, and any known technical issues.
