I help clients identify circuit, PCB, reliability, EMI/EMC, thermal, manufacturing, and sourcing risks before fabrication or production release.
This service is ideal for Startups, engineering managers, PCB designers, product companies. It is structured for commercially serious projects where reliability, performance, documentation, communication, and production readiness matter more than simply completing a drawing.
SERVICE SCOPE
✅ Architecture, schematic correctness, power tree, interfaces, protection, design margins, and component suitability
✅ Placement, routing, stackup, return paths, grounding, decoupling, differential pairs, impedance, length matching, and copper-current capacity
✅ Thermal behaviour, creepage/clearance, RF zones, antenna placement, noise coupling, and EMI/EMC exposure
✅ Footprints, pin mapping, polarity, mechanical fit, connectors, test points, programming access, and serviceability
✅ DFM, DFA, DFT, fabrication limits, assembly risk, BOM availability, lifecycle, alternates, and production readiness
✅ Severity-based reporting with actionable findings rather than a generic checklist
WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE
✅ Detailed design-review report with Critical, High, Medium, and Low findings
✅ Annotated schematic/PCB screenshots and recommended corrective actions
✅ Review meeting and recheck of agreed corrections when included in scope
ENGINEERING APPROACH
I normally begin by reviewing the product objective, development stage, available files, interfaces, expected quantities, enclosure constraints, operating environment, compliance targets, and the client’s main technical concern. For complex work, architecture review and finalization are completed before detailed circuit or PCB design begins.
The purpose is to reduce the chance of discovering preventable issues after boards, components, assembly, tooling, certification, or schedule have already been committed.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
I review designs created in Altium Designer, KiCad, EasyEDA, EAGLE, and other common PCB tools.
Projects may be completed hourly or through clearly defined milestones. Components, fabrication, assembly, shipping, laboratory certification, paid software/services, and other third-party costs are separate unless specifically included.
To receive an accurate scope, please share the product requirements, existing schematic or PCB files, block diagram, datasheets, mechanical information, expected deliverables, target schedule, and any known technical issues.
