I have worked with PostgreSQL and the PostGIS plugin since 2010. These have all been either remote (or volunteer) roles. I have used SQL, plpgsql and plpythonu stored procedures to define, maintain and process data within PostgreSQL-based databases. I have also used shell and scripted python with scheduling tools to provide reliable and performant batch jobs. I have moved data and schema definitions between PostgreSQL, Oracle and SQLite/Spatialite databases. I have defined and created APIs between the database and front-end web delivery systems. These include Django, flask, Web2Py and more. I am also proficient in the use of SQLAlchemy, GeoAlchemy and other python libraries to maintain and process data in multi-database platform systems, and (for example) to fully randomise data for testing processes. I have also created local virtual machines for development and testing, and deployed via Cloud services such as AWS. I also have a great deal of experience in tuning large PostgreSQL datasets.
