Smart Parking Barrier Gate and Ticketing Management System

Designed and developed a complete smart parking management system from the ground up, including the mechanical barrier gates, embedded control electronics, motor drive systems, vehicle detection infrastructure, and centralized desktop management software. The solution was created to automate vehicle entry and exit operations while providing accurate ticketing, billing, and operator management for commercial parking facilities.

The system utilizes infrared (IR) sensors for vehicle detection, position monitoring, safety control, and gate status verification. Custom motor control circuitry was developed to operate the barrier arms with smooth acceleration, deceleration, obstacle detection, and reliable opening and closing sequences. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) techniques were implemented to optimize motor speed control, reduce mechanical stress, and improve overall system reliability.

A centralized desktop application was developed using Electron.js, enabling real-time monitoring and management of all parking operations through an intuitive graphical interface. The application communicates with the gate controllers to process vehicle entries and exits, calculate parking durations, generate tickets, and manage operator activities.

The system also incorporates a Point-of-Sale (POS) module for cashier.
