It’s been a relatively slow week in Pensacola as many look forward to weekend Independence Day celebrations and the Blue Angels Pensacola Beach Air Show the following weekend.

Some exciting things have happened. Like Pensacola was ranked among “America’s Best Cities,’ according to international real estate, tourism and economic development firm Resonance Consultancy.

Eight schools in Escambia and Santa Rosa have new principals

When classes start in the fall, the Escambia County School District will have seven new principals, and one Santa Rosa County public school will have a new interim principal.

Also, there will be six new assistant principals at Escambia County schools and four new assistant principals in the Santa Rosa County district.

The ECSD school board announced its new principal and assistant principal appointments at its June 21 board meeting. Most of the appointments were from within inside the district, but four new administrators were brought in from outside the district.

The Santa Rosa County School Board has announced five administrators who have been appointed to new leadership positions for the 2022-2023 school year.
